Why I Made It
When I’m dancing, I want cold water close by, but I absolutely hate when a cold bottle starts sweating and dripping all over me. I also don’t want to spend the entire night carrying a bottle in my hand.
I started making these so I could keep my water attached to me, help insulate it, and have the yarn wick away condensation instead of having cold water drip on my clothes. The handle makes it easy to carry or clip onto my belt when I’m dancing, and when the bottle is empty, the whole thing folds down small enough to tuck away.
Meet the Cooz-et — my crochet take on a classic coozie, with a name inspired by my Louisiana roots and a little Cajun-style pronunciation: “cooz-AY.”
Designed for festivals, raves, camping, and anywhere you want to keep your drink cool without holding it all night, each Cooz-et features a built-in handle that makes it easy to carry or clip to your belt, bag, or carabiner. When it’s empty, the soft crochet construction folds down small enough to stash away until you need it again.
The yarn helps insulate your drink while absorbing and wicking away condensation, so you’re not stuck with a cold, sweaty bottle dripping on you. Choose from different fibers, colors, patterns, and design details to match your outfit, festival theme, or general vibe.
Cooz-ets can range from colorful one-of-a-kind scrap-yarn combinations to clean 100% cotton designs and more intricate pieces made with specialty stitches or premium natural fibers like merino wool.

Choose Your Cooz-et
Wildcard — Made with available synthetic, blended, reclaimed, or leftover yarn. Use the color/vibe field to give me a general direction, and I’ll create a one-of-a-kind combination from there.
Classic — Made with 100% cotton yarn in your requested color or color combination for a breathable, versatile everyday option.
Elevated — Features more intricate patterning, specialty stitches, added detailing, and/or premium natural fibers such as merino wool.
Secret Stash — Includes a discreet built-in pocket that blends into the design as a decorative accent or motif. It looks like part of the Cooz-et’s design while giving you a hidden spot for small items.
Choosing the Wildcard?
Use the color/vibe field to give me a general direction — like earthy, neon, spooky, ocean, warm tones, or “surprise me.” I’ll use that as inspiration while choosing from available scrap, reclaimed, or specialty yarns, so the exact colors and pattern will be part of the surprise.
Choosing a Secret Stash option?
If you have a specific motif in mind, please include it in the design requests/details field when ordering. If you leave it open, I’ll choose a motif that works with your requested colors and overall vibe.

Spot clean when possible. For a deeper clean, hand wash gently in cool water using a mild detergent.
- Do not bleach.
- Do not wring or twist.
- Gently press out excess water with a towel.
- Reshape while damp.
- Lay flat to air dry.
- Do not tumble dry.
- Avoid high heat.
- Remove any cans, bottles, or stored items before washing.
Synthetic fibers: Avoid heat, as some synthetic yarns can melt, distort, or lose texture.
Cotton: May soften and relax slightly with use and washing. Reshaping while damp will help restore its form.
Superwash Merino Wool
Superwash merino is treated to resist felting and is generally easier to wash than untreated wool. Gentle machine washing may be possible depending on the specific yarn used, but hand washing in cool water and laying flat to dry is still recommended to preserve the shape and details of the finished crochet piece.
Non-Superwash Merino & Other Wool Fibers
Hand wash only in cool water using a wool-safe detergent. Avoid agitation, hot water, and sudden temperature changes, which can cause felting or shrinkage.
